S. Korean Navy taking part in 12-day-long Pacific Reach exercise off Australia coast

and South Korea’s Navy is taking part in
the Pacific reach exercise which is a multinational submarine rescue exercise
aimed at improving salvage efforts in case of submarine accidents in forum
waters the Navy said on Monday that it’s deploying its 1,200 tonne eastern Shin
submarine to this year’s exercise it’s to be held for 12 days starting today
off the coast of Australia six countries South Korea the US Japan Australia
Malaysia and Singapore are taking part the exercise initiated in the year 2000
was held every two years but is now held every three years
