  5. I have nothing against those who use the 6 small meal approach, but it's just not for me. I'm a 6'3 275 pound ex raw powerlifter with a 620 squat and a 450 bench, and I've built a ton of muscle, yet never been as cut as I would like. I've been using intermittent fasting since New Years, and as of Easter, I'm 20 pounds leaner, with more definition to boot, little loss in strength, and waist measurement down two inches. Key is to find what works for you.

  7. Bro-science= Common Sense. But Jim is actually smart as hell. However I get iffy about supplement recommendations, it's mostly for your money. I feel like his own channel is legit most of the time, but when he does things through BB.com or other sites, it becomes more of a marketing scheme.

    Get real people. If you don't have the mental fortitude to apply with Dr. Stoppani talks about, just eat clean and lift heavy/run your ass off. Not that hard, champs. Half the people trashing this look like shit anyway.

I for one would like to see a study where they take bodybuilders or beginners put them in a 12 week training schedule with Jim Stoppani and then debunk all those shitty scientific studies

Anyone who is not of his age and doesn't have his body, should really be quiet in the first place. I'm like 15 years younger than this dude, and my body doesn't look at all like that… this deserves the utmost respect, or if anything respectful criticism.

I don't get what you're arguing. I said Jim is smart as hell? BB tries to market products at you for their business.   13. He has, well, reality. Jim is hypereducated and experienced in this field but he still, somehow, manages to spew nonsense all over the place.

    What's important to remember is that a PhD is primarily representative of a vigorous work ethic, NOT (necessarily) knowledge. Hell, I've met people with doctorates in nutrition that still think that consumption of egg yolks increases heart disease risk.

    You'd be better off just following the evidence where it leads. The "experts" can go f*ck themselves.

  14. bodybuilders are people too and their bodies react the same way then a beginner. for example, eatin 6 meals a day to boost metabolism=unnecessary for beginners and body builders alike.

  19. DTP has can be worked into a lot of different programs, but it's generally intended for mass gain, whereas this is a cutting program. I use DTP as a shock to the normal low rep, mid volume routine. I would never exclusively use DTP just because only doing 2 exercises per body part doesn't build a balanced physique in the long run. ie. the shoulder training does little for your rear delts. Don't get me wrong, I still love it; I did some DTP arms today.

    However, if you look at his meal plans they add up to 3000 calories a day. Not sure how you can get cut on that much caloric intake. You would have to being working out most of the day like a monster.

  39. hey y'all! First some personal fact and history. I'm 5'9 / 176 lb mesomorph build 36 yrs old Never bodybuilt in my life until now. However, I have worked hard my entire life. I have a organically farm and I am a builder. People close to me say im the hardest worker they've ever known. For instance I bought a new home recently for a rental. I tore the roof off of it in one morning by 11 am by myself and roofed it in two days. BY myself. I've built barns and cabins , houses you name it. This is not a brag thread. The reason this is important is to give you an idea of munch physical level. Here's the deal. I have muscles without real definition and strength without gym size. Now here's my question to you all. I'm on my 3rd week of going to the gym. I'm on my 3rd week of Stoppani's shortcut to shred. I can get these workouts done No Problem and in around 30 minutes. I'd like to workout longer but stay true to the program. Should I up the weights/ reps/ slow down. How can I make this more of a challenge? Thanks y'all! Look forward to your feed back.
