Can You Beat My Time? Thenx Challenge

– What’s up elite THENX
athletes, I’m Zay Tiggs and welcome back to another
video of Official THENX. Today we’re gonna be switching things up, and we’re gonna be pushing ourselves through this endurance challenge. (upbeat music) Alright so before we get started, when we talk about endurance,
most people often think of cardiovascular endurance,
which is how long your heart can function in a physical activity before you get out of breath. However there’s another form of endurance that’s very important , and
that’s muscular endurance. Muscular endurance is the amount of repetitive force
generated against resistance before your muscles
get tired and give out. With muscular endurance
you’re helping get more blood in and out of your
muscles as you exercise. The increased blood flow helps
bring oxygen and nutrients into the muscle to keep it going. Some of you may know
this as getting a pump. Developing this type
of endurance allows you to perform exercises and activities longer before fatigue sets in. If you find yourself fatiguing
easily during your workout, the risk of injury increases,
so this will prevent those injuries by making your
bones and joints stronger. When I first started training, I would find myself struggling with this. Mentally, I wanted to keep working out, but physically, my muscles
wouldn’t allow me to. So this is something I
wanted to train towards and get better at. So in order to develop muscle endurance, I created a pushing routine
of multiple exercises that consist of higher reps
and shorter rest periods that’ll lead to a longer
time under tension. So for today’s challenge, I’m
bringing my boy Paz with me. What up. So we can motivate and push each other to complete this challenge. Alright so for this challenge
we’re gonna be doing 50 pushups to start off, 40 straight bar dips 30 regular dips, 20 tricep extensions, and last, 10 diamond push ups. So in order to track our progress, we’re gonna time this routine and try to complete it as fast and
efficiently as possible. So the next time we try this routine, we have a reference to
what time we wanna beat. It’s good to challenge yourself
like this once in a while to track your progress and make sure you’re constantly progressing. Before we begin, always remember not to sacrifice form for a faster time. Make sure to keep that full range of motion throughout each exercise. If you need to pause or take a break, make sure you give yourself enough time to make sure you recover enough to perform each exercise
after that with clean form. All right, so with that being said, Paz, you ready? – I’m ready! – Let’s do this man. Start the timer. 50 push-ups, let’s go. (upbeat music) ♪ Carya music ♪ (heavy breathing) Remember to pace yourselves guys. (upbeat music) (bell dinging) All right, 50 push-ups. Like I said, remember to pace
yourself after each exercise. (bell dinging) We still have a long way to go. Next we got 40 straight bar dips. (upbeat music) Push through, push through. Remember to give yourself
enough time to rest, so you can finish each
exercise with good form. Let’s go. (upbeat music) ♪ Carya music ♪ (heavy breathing) Five left. (upbeat music) Whew. (bell dinging) All right. That’s 40 straight bar dips. We got 30 dips next. I’m gonna give it some time
for my muscles to recover. Right now you should feel
that pump kicking in. Go for 30 dips. (upbeat music) ♪ Carya music ♪ (heavy breathing) Halfway there. Fifteen left. (bell dinging) How you feeling, Paz? – Feeling good. – Good? Let’s finish strong, man. – Yeah, let’s do it. (upbeat music) (heavy breathing) (bell dinging) (upbeat music) – Next we got 20 tricep extensions. All right. (upbeat music) (grunting) (bell dinging) There we go. The last exercise we’ve got. 10 diamond push-ups. Let’s finish strong. Let’s go, Paz. Fight through, fight through! Aye. (bell dinging) There you go, bro Good work, man. And Paz, thanks again, pushing through this workout with me. And this completes
today’s pushing challenge. This type of training has taught me discipline, focus, and

  1. Great video ! It shows than more normal people and not monsters like chris or oswaldo struggle for those type of challenge

  2. Great challenge guys, also good to see the progress you guys are making. Zay looking strong, keen to see how Paz progresses – also, bring back Shawn too! 🙂

  3. I thought I would hear at the end the usual "make sure you complete this routine other 3 times" hahah. Amazing video, didn't expect to see such an endurance from both of you. I should definitely try to do that too ??

  4. Damn Zay you killed that , no way I get close to your time , I will have to try this workout out in my next Deload week .
Also yes please make a pull version of this Thanks .
    keep up the great work

  5. Zay doesn't have enough enthusiasm, and the fucked up thing is that he said he is not doing it alone because we both will cheer each other and motivate up, but they are quiet the whole video and are'n't helpful to each other

  6. I definitely want to see a pulling style version of this challenge. I do this style of challenge sometimes but I never timed myself before, thanks for that tip.

  7. I cant believe that Zay Tiggs and Chris have the same way of speaking… their speaking is actually very fun and nice to listen, attracting to watch! Keep it up guys GJ
